Since we’re moving from summer into fall (and back to school!), we wanted to take some time to highlight some of the lead generation trends we’re predicting to be big in recruiting this fall and into next year too.

Mobile Texting to Candidates

Staffing and recruiting firms are finding that as many as 95% of their emails go unanswered while prospective candidates respond within minutes to text messages, according to HeyWire. It’s more than a trend — many recruiters are leaving behind email for a more effective form of communication this fall.

Social Media Still #1 Source for Top Talent

We’re not surprised that almost half (46%) of U.S. companies say social professional networks are one of the most important sources of quality hires, followed closely by employee referral programs (44%), according to LinkedIn. A growing number of staffing companies will be increasing their marketing spending, and if you’d like to as well but need some support check out our blog post on how to convince your boss to invest in social media.

Reliance on an ATS

77% of recruiters said they needed an ATS or CRM to do their jobs effectively in 2015, according to Bullhorn. The big differentiator for 2016 will be integration of ATS’ with job boards.

Investment in Strong Talent Brands

In a blog post last month we outlined great brands on our radar. A ton more companies are creating strong talent brands that are memorable and effective. LinkedIn says these brands reduce cost per hire by 50% and lowers turnover rates by 28%.

Email Newsletters

This year, MailChimp analyzed 40 million emails sent through their service to answer the question, “How should I write my subject lines so that more recipients will open my emails?” While email newsletters can be valuable many staffing companies are discovering lower open rates. How do we combat this? Newsletters are a long game but when combined with other content marketing strategy such as blogging, it’s a game worth participating in.

Ad Campaigns and Pay Per Click for Lead Generation

This year U.S. internet ad revenue reached landmark numbers: $13.3 billion in the first quarter of the year, according to the IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report. PPC is more than a trend of the season, it’s become a year-long source of lead generation for many recruiters.

One Trend That Needs to Take Off: Online Staffing Platforms

With the continued use of email newsletters, online pay per click ads, reliance on ATS’, social media and texting — it only makes sense for online staffing to make a strong appearance this fall. You’ve probably heard of Jobbee Talent Finder, our online staffing platform.
