Meet Zach, the newest member of the Staffing Robot team!
He’s our new Digital Marketing Manager in charge of search and paid acquisition, in addition to other aspects of online marketing.
Tell us about your work background in SEO, marketing and the interwebz?
I’ve spent most of my time out of school working with an actuarial consulting firm. It was there that the concepts of product/project management, loss mitigation and marketing ROI enabled me to have a significant impact in the growth of the business. As long as our clients are looking to use proven marketing tactics to increase the bottom line, I think we’ll make be a great fit.
P.S. I’ve also launched four products on my own, so I can relate to first- or second- time entrepreneurs who have small budgets but want to make big things happen.
What’s your favorite aspect of software, web development and marketing?
I like to ball them together to create lucrative products.
It’s no secret that a website is the face of a company. For small companies, they aren’t worried about an ‘online presence’, they’re simply focused on surviving the year. However, medium-to-large recruiting firms have the potential to really show the world what they’re made of, and use custom-built software to solve problems, while also turning a profit.
Favorite thing to do outside of work?
Guinness. WAIT — wrong question. Can I start over?
Favorite thing to do outside of work? Well, I am a builder of things. Whether physical things (with Habitat for Humanity) or more intellectual things (online products), I am always building.
Do you have a quote or mantra or swear word that gets you through particularly rough days?
“If you put a low value upon yourself, it’s guaranteed the world won’t raise your price.”
When your inspirational quote fails you, do you have a favorite drink?
I’m convinced that a Guinness can’t fix everything, but it’s always worth a shot.
Do you have a “hero”?
I will say my own family. I come from from a long line of entrepreneurs and small business owners, and seeing their success is what fuels my own.
Do you have any pets? kids? plants?
Not yet. I did see a cactus at Trader Joe’s yesterday that I might go pick up.
Favorite thing so far about working for Staffing Robot?
Most work environments have a lot of structure around them. Staffing Robot is different, it’s a fluid workplace — work gets done and conversations are free-flowing. Movement is everywhere, and I’m excited to be a part of the growth.
