We were talking about the crazy world of social media with one of our clients and he mentioned a personal social media post that did crazy well — tons of likes and tons of engagement. The post was a photo of a puppy. Of course! You’re basically an awful person if a photo of a puppy doesn’t make you happy (or make you want to click Like).
The challenge is getting all of this engagement for social media shares for your biz page — without having to post irrelevant puppy photos every day.
If you’re posting quality photos with every social media post you’re going down the right path. According to SocialBakers, photos make up 93% of the most engaging posts on Facebook.
Now, LinkedIn is getting in on the photo sharing game. Finally! The process of posting a photo is much like Facebook. At the top of your dashboard you’ll see options to post an update, upload a photo or publish a post.
Here’s an example of a post from my LinkedIn page:
Timely and professional posts work best for this. If you have a link to a great article, the “post an update” option might be better for that. For the upload feature on LinkedIn, we recommend original photos that tell a story about your brand.
LinkedIn is becoming more and more social and this is a good thing. Now all we need is an option to edit a published update!
