Multitasking Monday: LinkedIn Job Search App

Applicants who apply to job opportunities on the first day they’re posted are 10% more likely to land the job, according to LinkedIn.

Candidates seeking new employment need a way to stay up to date and apply quickly for job listings wherever and whenever new jobs are posted.

LinkedIn’s job search app has been available for iPhone since June but LinkedIn finally released the app in Google Play this week. This is big news for both employers and jobseekers.

An applicant can apply for a new job while walking to the job he hates!

This is HUGE, especially for staffing companies who don’t give candidates the ability to apply through their websites from a mobile advice. If your jobs are on LinkedIn though, you’ll give candidates the opportunity to apply immediately.

The best part for jobseekers? The app recommends and alerts candidates of jobs tailored to their skills. This means your job listing could alert a potential candidate while she’s waiting in line for coffee and she could apply for the position by the time the barista calls out her name.

We told you this was big news!

    • Rachel,
Although we always recommend staffing companies have mobile sites, it’s one way for your staffing company to have a mobile application process if your site’s not mobile already. Also, it’s a great way to alert candidates of your jobs.
