We’d like to welcome Erin to our team as the new account manager at Staffing Robot. She has a background in account management, recruiting, and more! Learn a few things about Erin, you may be working with her soon!
Tell us about your background account management.
My career has progressed from recruiting to sales to account management. Every role I have had has prepped me for the next. Being an account manager is natural fit for my personality. I love people and being a part of a team. I have learned over the years that although communication is essential — listening is key.
I have to think that being a middle child prepared me for this role more than anything. I am never right and there is almost always a compromise available.
Worst job you ever had growing up?
The worst job I had growing up would have to be my short stint working at a movie theatre. I had to wear neon plastic suspenders and a bow tie. I always went home smelling like popcorn. The upside was that I was able to surprise my dad with a garbage bag full of popcorn with a big red bow at the end of my last night. He woke up at 3 AM from the smell of the popcorn I left in the kitchen. The sad ending to the story is that my mom made him put it in the garage and mice got it. Well, maybe not a bad ending for the mice.
Favorite thing(s) to do outside of work?
I was a make-up artist in my 20s. It was and will forever be my favorite pastime. I was able to work for Dior, Chanel, VH1 and MTV. For me, those were my glory days and still do what I can to keep enjoying it. Aside from that I love hanging out with my husband and dog. We do a lot of hanging out: movies, walks and cooking. I almost listed working out —my perhaps not quite my “favorite” thing out of work.
Best part of living in Portland?
The best thing for me is living close to my younger sister and her kids. We are from California and we are both here for our husbands (Nike). She was here first but the fact that we live so close is priceless. My older sister is also close by in Seattle. Portland has surprised me and I am constantly learning new things to do and places to eat.
Do you have any pets? kids? plants?
First of I would love to have a plant — but they have not worked out for me. I am proud to say that I have been able to keep our precious little cockapoo healthy for a long time. She is a little eight-pound ball of black fur. I came from a family where dogs are considered family members, not pets. Everyone in my family has a dog or multiple dogs. I believe everyone should have a dog.

I am super excited about working with Staffing Robot. The people, the product and the commitment to quality is infectious. The team at Staffing Robot is something that I was attracted to immediately and know that I working with some very bright people! The creative process and commitment to outcome is clear. You know you are proud of where you work- when you want to recommend them to everyone you know.
