A new app called PhotoFeeler, helps people choose photos for LinkedIn or other social media profiles “so that a misleading or unflattering photo never comes between good people and opportunity.” First, users have to vote on other users’ photos to earn credits. Once a user has enough credits, he or she can use the credits to find out what people think of his or her uploaded photo.
“We all lack the psychological ability to see ourselves as others see us,” according to PhotoFeeler. Apps like this may become more and more valuable as the staffing and recruiting industries turn to social media and online staffing platforms for placing candidates. An app like PhotoFeeler may be one that candidates will want to utilize with a software like Talent Finder, especially as the openness and personal touch of online staffing gains even more traction.
What do you think? Will the PhotoFeeler app be useful for online staffing platforms like Talent Finder? Or it just another way to bully each other online?
