Staffing Companies Should Take Some Tips From JCrew’s Newest Social Media Campaign

Pinterest

In an unprecedented move, JCrew debuted their Fall Collection on Pinterest yesterday. Talk about knowing your demographic. 80% of Pinterest users are female and 55% of users are between the ages of 25 and 45. With these numbers you would have to be a complete moron to ignore the FREE marketing possibility there – especially for a clothing company whose clientele is EXACTLY THAT DEMOGRAPHIC.

Here’s a cool infographic breaking down the numbers:

Now here’s where things get staffing company-y. These stats are basically exactly the same demographic as, say, the nursing profession. Let me repeat that. THE NURSING PROFESSION. So, for example, if you’re a healthcare staffing company, these are the you’re trying to reach – to recruit, to hire! And of course it’s not just for healthcare staffing agencies but other staffing companies as well. Men are a fast growing demographic on Pinterest as are tech companies and a myriad of other placement agencies. So follow JCrew’s lead and let Pinterest do the recruiting for you. Pin, re-pin, pin jobs, pin funny things, pin kittens in nurse outfits, comment on IT company pins. Here are some examples of different staffing companies doing great things on Pinterest.

What are you waiting for? PINTEREST THE HECK OUT OF YOUR STAFFING COMPANY’S BRAND. GET TO IT.

Sorry for the yelling. I’ve had a lot of coffee.
