Twitter revamped its search feature this week, cementing its status as the internet’s best source of up to the second information. The new search sorts your results into two categories: People and Photos.
This is an excellent way to track your company’s brand reach as well as the impact of any recent job campaign and/or who to follow/market to on Twitter. Twitter has always been an excellent platform for a more personal approach to brand marketing and the ability to more easily locate the right users to interact with is great news.
Twitter also now has a more intelligent search bar with a better predictive algorithm. According to this post on Digital Trends:
after entering at least one character, you are immediately given a list of results that include possible phrases as well as any Twitter account handle that matches your search as well as your current relationship with them.
As a staffing company, this means you can now handily find competitors, candidates and clients quickly and efficiently. After that, it’s up to you (or your social media marketer) to either strike up a conversation with them or just follow their campaigns to see what other staffing companies are doing right and/or doing wrong.
