If you are a new site owner, business owner new to social media or just a really industrious pinner of shoes (me) then the new Pinterest analytics could provide a welcome opportunity to see some simple metrics on user engagement – i.e. who is looking at/re-pinning your content as well as site impressions and referral traffic.
The Pinterest analytics are not as fancy as other third-party Pinterest analytics systems like Pinfluencer and Curalate but are super useful to the newbie user.
The free tool allows site owners to track the number of pinners and pins collecting material from their sites, and the number of repinners and repins those initial pins received. Site owners can also track total impressions and reach on the network, as well as referral traffic, both in clicks and unique visitors, sent back to their site.
This is nice news after the terrible, terrible bomb Google dropped yesterday.
RIP Google Reader. I never knew how important your unending stream of fat cat pics was until you were gone. Brb gotta put on my widow’s weeds. Sob.
