Facebook Questions has been updated significantly this year. Facebook questions is a Question and Answer feature that has been refocused on quickly polling friends and getting recommendations. Questions is now easier to work with, viral and much more integrated with the overall Facebook experience, rather than a niche feature. The most innovative changed includes the ability to easily give recommendations of things posted by a Facebook Page or Place, and the option to endorse an existing answer.
The Q&A format is nothing new on the web. However, Facebook’s version has the potential to create new opportunities for businesses, if for no other reason than the number of people using Facebook.

How does Facebook Questions work?
If you're familiar with LinkedIn Answers, the purpose of Facebook questions if very similar. Questions allows your friends/fans to provide answers to questions relevant to your business. It can be a great way to connect with new people you're trying to reach, network and generate new leads.
Asking a Question is now just as easy as creating a status update, posting photos or sharing links on Facebook. It’s fully integrated with Facebook Pages, where a new “Questions” tab lets users ask questions directly on the Page that can be answered by Page admins or fans. When you ask a Question it's published to your stream. All of your fans/friends can now view the Question. Questions can be open response or be given pre-set answer choices provided in a poll format. You can even enable others to add answer choices. In addition, you also have the option to ask a question of a specific fan/friend, generating a notification leading back to the question.
When a fan/friend clicks on a Question, a pop-up appears allowing them to answer. Users either provide a new answer or endorse an existing one. Once answered, their friends can see and answer the question as well.

Facebook Questions is an excellent way to poll your audience about new policy's, products, services, etc. It's also a great way to engage an interact with them. In addition to asking questions, you can also respond.
By clicking on the “Questions” link in the left-hand navigation of Facebook and you can also see questions relating to your interests, as well as those asked by friends and friends of friends. To insure you're seeing relevant questions, be sure interests in your profile are relevant to healthcare staffing and industry related topics. You can also find questions by manually entering in a topic, choosing from suggested topics or trending topics.
Once you find questions of interest, you can answer them from your Facebook business page. You can also ask questions that are visible both on your Page and on the pages of your fans. This creates a new opportunity for communicating with your fans aside from status updates and news links that you’re probably already used to sharing. Another bonus – these questions get indexed by Facebook, which means other users can stumble upon them and in turn, find your business.
Facebook Questions is getting good traction so far. It's Q and A functionality offers interesting possibilities to engage your current audience and potentially reach a new one.
