According to this article, robots are coming to hospitals across the country to act in a healthcare provider capacity.
Robots called TUGs (named for what they do — tugging carts and other things) are being used by the Washington Hospital Center pharmacy. They work 24/7, distributing drugs throughout the hospital without a human assistant.
Aethon, a company in Pittsburgh produces the robots and claims that over 100 hospitals across the country are currently using them.
