  1. Hi Jeff. From what I can see, very few staffing agencies are participating actively in social media marketing. Case in point, recently I worked with a company trying to find staffing agencies to speak about their activity with social media and it was nearly impossible to find any.
    The ones that are seem to simply be pumping out their jobs. This is great but they need to find a better way to connect.
    I think the biggest hurdles are:
    1) owners and VPs still don’t understand the value of Social Media.
    2) There is a huge misunderstanding about the demographics. I talked with a client recently that said “If i thought our customers were 14 year old girls I’d advertise on Facebook.” Huge misconception.
    3) Companies are still afraid of it. Many companies I know have policies prohibiting their employees from using social media at all. I think that is a huge mistake.
